Capturing Weeks of Stay at Home Themes

After Week Two of the initial stay at home ordinance, I began to identify a general theme or two revealing themselves in my conversations with professional clients, allies and friends throughout each week.  So, in my usual curiosity manner, I documented them to see the evolutionary changes and reflect to the beginning.

Here is what I experienced, with a little comic relief sarcasm included as lagniappe:

Week One

  • Minimal Productivity / Settling In.

  • Is This the End of the Office?

Week Two

  • Realization / Exhausted – Wasn’t This Supposed to be More Fun & Productive?

  • Ingesting Too Much Media!

Week Three

Disconnecting / Disengaged / Disconcerting.

  • Worldwide & Nationwide Innovation to Keep the Balls Rolling!

Week Four

  • Eerily Quiet / Forced Motivation & Productivity.

  • Over Webinar’ed Out! (I have two ears; surely, I can do two at one time. NOT!)

Week Five

  • Missing Live, In-Person People / Zoom Is Not the Same!

  • People Are Losing Their Minds in Their Boredom / Wacky Creativity!

Week Six

  • Not Sure What Day of the Week It Is.

  • Changing Culture: Spotting People Without Masks / Not Observing 6 Ft. Rule.

Week Seven

  • Definitely Not the End of the Office, but We Will Be Changed.

  • Confusing Influx of Messages on How We Will Re-Enter.

Now into Week Eight

  • How Have We Been Doing This Eight Weeks?

  • Clearly Not an Early Adopter, But No Laggard Either!

Do you recall the same in your experiences?  Can you think back to Week One and see how your attitudes may or may not have changed throughout?

As always, I’m forever curious and intrigued.  Please share your experiences here in the comments section or directly with me at dlandry@authentizity.com
